Armies on Parade is a global celebration of the Warhammer hobby, where you are encouraged to choose a project, plan your approach, and share your progress with like-minded Warhammer hobbyists along the way – online or at your local store.
Whether you’re an experienced painter or new to the Warhammer hobby, Armies on Parade is open to everyone – just choose one of the four different categories to enter.
This year, Armies on Parade will be held globally via an awesome online Parade Day on Thursday the 13th of November 2025. You’ll also be able to participate at your Warhammer store between July and October 2025 – head to your local shop for more information.
Everyone can enter Armies on Parade! It doesn’t matter whether you’re brand new to Warhammer or an experienced hobbyist, you can join in this global celebration with an entry that you are proud of. For more detail, please check our terms and conditions.
This is Armies on Parade, so go big!
Armies on Parade is your opportunity to show off what inspires you in the Warhammer hobby. Your project could be anything from a Kill Team squad or a Warcry warband to a massive galaxy-conquering battleforce or a realm-shaking army.
For Warhammer Age of Sigmar, Warhammer 40,000, Legions Imperialis, Middle-earth™ Strategy Battle Game, Warhammer: The Old World, and Warhammer: The Horus Heresy, the minimum number of units per entry is two complete units. This can be any combination of unit types, including, but not limited to, a character model and a squad, two tanks, a tank and squad, and more.
For skirmish-style games including Necromunda, Kill Team, Warcry, Warhammer Underworlds, and Blood Bowl, the minimum entry is one complete warband, kill team, gang, Blood Bowl team, or other equivalent.
Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar are the major systems, but submissions of miniatures from Warhammer: The Horus Heresy, Warhammer: The Old World, the Middle-earth™ Strategy Battle Game, Aeronautica Imperialis, Necromunda, Kill Team, Warcry, Warhammer Underworlds, Blood Bowl, Legions Imperialis, and Adeptus Titanicus are all permitted.
You’re free to make use of conversions, too. Want to combine Acolyte Hybrid parts with Cadian Shock Troops to make twisted Genestealer Cultists? Go for it! You can even use components from different Warhammer game systems where appropriate, such as incorporating the Necromunda Zone Mortalis terrain into your Warhammer 40,000 display board, or using Sylvaneth parts from Warhammer Age of Sigmar to customise your Wood Elf army for Warhammer: The Old World. However, you can’t mix the actual settings – we can’t have a Norn Emissary on parade alongside Lord Kroak, and Settra the Imperishable can’t march to battle with Lion El’Jonson. Parts and components from miniatures set in the 41st Millennium and Age of Darkness may not be combined with those set in the Mortal Realms, World of Legend, or Blood Bowl.
Note that Middle-earth™ Strategy Battle Game miniatures, scenery, and components (from The Lord of the Rings™, The Hobbit™, Armies of Middle-earth™, and The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim™ ranges) must only be used for entries depicting Middle-earth™ Strategy Battle Game armies.
Any entry found to combine Middle-earth™ Strategy Battle Game miniatures, scenery, or components with those from other Warhammer game systems may be disqualified.
The display must fit within an area no larger than 2ft sq (61cm sq).
You don’t need a dedicated board to enter the Solo Entrant, Team, or Youngbloods categories. You can use a table or anything that seems appropriate. As long as it all fits into the dimensions outlined above, your entry will be accepted. If you plan to enter the ‘Armies on Terrain’ category, please speak to your local Warhammer store.
